BlackBook Consulting is a Management Consultancy practice, that designs and implements superior business models. It is also an outsourcing organisation, providing the functionality of entire organisation departments, without the risks and overheads of directly employing staff and taking on infrastructure.

Our model is a simple one. We have a team of Primary Consultants who diagnose the client challenges, specify the solutions, and help implement those solutions. They all operate to the same “DSSS” consultancy model. When outsourced solutions are required, we have a carefully selected and vetted team of specialists on hand to take on that work, and provide the consistency and quality we expect for our clients.

We firmly believe that the old mode of consultancy is deeply problematic. Short-term information and expertise deliveries too often mean that clients do not change their behaviour – and it is human behaviour that ALL Management Consultants are here to change. When clients do not change, grow or adapt based on the work that a consultant does, that work is a failure. We aim to deliver permanent change, for the better.

This service is designed to help you as a Director or Management Team to have the knowledge and expertise available when you need it, to make good decisions for excellent outcomes. It is important to note that you should deploy this project-based service, BEFORE you’ve reached any solid conclusions.

A BlackBook Leader can be contracted as business managers and leadership for your organisation during three month periods, for a maximum of twelve months. The ideal period for this service to be deployed is six months, allowing enough time for the service to be effective, yet not relying inappropriately on it. The limit is twelve months, to prevent any issues with IR35 legislation.

Expertise and experience are usually expensive, hard to find, and difficult to introduce into an organisation. That’s why it is often sensible to find an external ‘brain’ who has a genuine talent for being able to step in to a strange situation, and immediately be able to leverage their expertise and experience to improve your organisation and its functions.

It is now an unfortunate truth that leadership, management and general business organisation skills are woefully inadequate in the personnel marketplace. It is also true that it is extremely difficult to build an internal function in your organisation to facilitate training for these skillsets.
